Mount Abu – desert queen

An oasis in the middle of a desert, Mount Abu is the only hill-station in Rajasthan and is also a pilgrimage centre for the Jains and houses some of the best architectural splendours of India. The Dilwara temple of Jains is one such example. The cool climate of Mount Abu is due to its extravagant flora which consists of flowering shrubs and coniferous trees. Charming forest hills fringed by the coniferous trees provide a lush backdrop for a picnic setting. The sylvan charm and the lush surroundings of Mount Abu are sure to refresh and rejuvenate you. The highest and the most beautiful peak of Mount Abu is the Guru Shikhar. A certain level of tranquility surrounds the temple which is built on a summit. This peak offers a spectacular view of the entire town.

Although Mount Abu can be visited throughout the year, May to June are ideal for visiting.
